what to expect

What to expect:

Portrait sessions are relaxed and as stress free as possible for both parent and child. I devote up to 2 hours per session so you or your child never feel rushed. I schedule only one session per day to be sure plenty of time is allotted for breaks, snacks, or just time to get to know you both.

I will talk to your child a lot, maybe even more than I talk to you! This is because it is important that the child relates to and focuses his or her attention on me. I am a mother too, so this comes very naturally to me.

The Session:

We will work together to discuss your goals for our session. We can discover if you prefer a natural light, on-location setting, a studio setting or perhaps both! If you need help choosing a setting or location, please let me know and I can make suggestions.

Before your session, I will send you information with details on clothing suggestions, the best time to schedule your session and more. Be assured that any questions you may have will be addressed before our portrait sitting.

After the session:

I personally process and perfect all of the images from your session so you are presented with portraits that you will treasure for a lifetime.

Approximately one week after your session, I will provide an online gallery with 15-25 images to choose from. Feel free to share this gallery with family and friends! Images will be an assortment of black/white and color (I use my own judgment to determine which images will be color and which will be black and white) unless other arrangements have been made.

Orders must be placed within 7 days and payment for prints is to be made at this time.

Your prints will be delivered approx. 2 weeks after the order is placed. If portraits are needed for a special occasion, please let me know, and I will work to accommodate your time frame.
